I greet you with Jesus joy as we begin this new year. 2021 was filled with excitement, expectation and energy. Many saw dreams come to life, visions come to pass and revelations be revealed.
And the year 2021 also left many grieved, offended and let down.
The “COVID” virus with its variants has created a dark cloud that for many has cast a shadow over our faith. Many Christians like the world is saying I trust God at shopping malls, grocery stores and family get togethers., but not so much “at church gatherings.” It seems that the need to gather socially remains strong in our world society. We tend to regret being told where we can not go. We resent the masks, but if it allows me to “leave home” and go somewhere besides work, “okay.”
But what about God? What about God’s house? We read, “now unto Him who is able to keep us from falling.,” Do we really trust God to keep us while shopping and dinning and “NOT BE ABLE” to keep us at HIS HOUSE?
Lighthouse., how long will we allow the world to tell us, “The Church” when and how to worship our God? Is He not both God of the mountains and God of the valley?
The Bible says in Deut. 1:6, The LORD our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying, You have lived long enough in this mountain: HNV
Deut. 1:8, “see, I have set before you the land; go in and possess the land which Jehovah hath sworn to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give to them, and to their seed after them.” YLT
We will never “walk on water”, until we trust God to “keep us afloat.” “And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me (command me) come unto thee on the water.” Matt. 14:28.
I want to say here., “faith is not an exercise in zeal, folly or foolishness.” Jesus made medicine (eye salve) of spit and clay. Paul told Timothy to “drink wine because of your stomach..” Faith is not the “absence of science or medicine”., it is God’s sovereign will being exercised in behalf of believing saints.
So, I encourage you for 2022. Stir up your faith., Stir Up Your Faith! Don’t allow circumstances to dictate your declarations. Remember; “I will say what He (the scripture) said, until I see what He said come to pass!”
Declare like the woman in II Kings 4., “it is well.” Our God is able to do exceeding, abundantly above.,” if we give Him the chance.
