HISTORY
Missionary Clara Clerkley is the most loving and highly esteemed Elect Lady of the Lighthouse Church of God in Christ. This extraordinary woman has yielded a ministry that compliments that of of her husband. Lady Clerkley teaches women the principles of living wise, prudent lives that are pleasing to God. She encourages women to incorporate Godly principles into marriage, motherhood and friendships while holding up the standards of holiness.
Endowed with phenomenal vision and a heart for women’s ministries, this prayer warrior leads by doing things God’s way. Her multi-faceted vision for the Lighthouse Department of Women has birthed a myriad of ministries, some of which include:
- Lighthouse Annual Women’s Day
- Women’s Retreat
- Lighthouse Greeters
- Women Empowering Women and Ministry of the heart.
She is a virtuous woman that rests on the promises of Gods Word, She seeks the Lord.
Lady Clerkley’s life epitomizes the “Proverbs 31 Woman.” She is both esthetically and spiritually beautiful. Here is a life of purpose; rooted, grounded and disciplined in the will of God. As an anointed vessel, Lady Clerkley exhibits wisdom well beyond her years. Always with a joyful, comforting and sincere smile to share, she nurtures the women of lighthouse with meekness, gentleness and humility. She has proven herself time and time again to be a trustworthy guide, a caring confidant and a role model of integrity. Lady Clerkley exemplifies the Lord with her every behavior, word and deed.
A competent teacher. she proficently divides the Word of God revealing the importance of communion, prayer and building a relationship with the Lord, She encourages consistency in prayer and in the study of the Holy Word, assuring that faithfulness will birth fruitfulness.
Elder Clerkley met his life partner Missionary Clara Clerkley in September of 1973; and married her in 1974. Together, they share 5 children – Cal, Natasha, Michael Jr., Omega and Jessica. From these seeds have come 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
