DEPARTMENT OF WOMEN
The department of women is made up women with different talents, gifts, callings and anointing’s. We have a common goal in mind to serve God and one another in the spirit of love and unity. We are here to help you become familiar with the ministries. It is our hope that you work as God lead.
Armor Bearer
Being an armor bearer is not and inherited position and should not be looked on as a prestigious position. The armor bearer serves and assists. They are specially selected women who are responsible for the the First Lady’ and her personal need. They are also to free her of any secure and personal items so that she may focus on ministerial tasks.
Deaconess board
The deaconess board is primarily designed for sacramental duties. It is composed of women who are devout, holy and in good standing in the church. They may or may not be deacon wives. It is the duty of the deaconess to make adequate preparation for all baptisms, including preparation for communion.
FAMILY LIFE INSTITUTE
Family Life Institute is a bible study designed to teach the whole of the congregation to provide understanding, knowledge and wisdom of the word of God. The weekly informal setting provides Q&A sessions that teach biblical principles and how to apply the principles to our everyday lives.
First Lady’s Aide
The First Lady’s aide is a group of women organized for the sole purpose of caring for the needs of the first lady and her special guest.
GREETERS
The function of this ministry is to provide an atmosphere of warmth and acceptance to the guest of lighthouse as well as to the lighthouse family by extending loving gesture of smiles and hugs.
hOSPITALITY TEAM
The Hospitality team is vitally important to the support of the church ministry. They function as servers to our leaders and thier guest.
ministry of intercession
As believers it is important to come together on one group and seek the will of God for our lives and to pray for our leaders. We meet weekly on Tues, Wed, and Fri at 10:00 am on the Prayer Conference Line. 717-908-1690 access code: 590945#
missionary training
This training class is for the women that feel a special call of God in their life for a higher ministry. There is a one year training course to receive an “Aspiring Missionary Certificate.”
MOTHER’S COUNCIL
The Mothers Council is a board of seasoned and matured women. They admonish women to display character that’s becoming of holiness.
Music Dept.
The ministry of music is made up of people who express a call from God to minister before Him in music and song. The Music ministry includes the Praise Team, inspirational Choir, Mens Choir, Senior Choir and the Sanctuary Choir.
New Member advanced orientation
This advanced Orientation is for new members that have Joined the church, but are not new to COGIC ministry. This class is to give insight concerning the vision of the Lighthouse Ministry and its leaders.
New Member Follow-up Ministry
The Follow up ministry function is to maintain consistent contact with the new members/converts that may not only be new to our church, but also new in Christ.
NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION TEAM
This team is designed to nurture, embrace and welcome the new mener; to provide effective, professional, quality information and resources.

The Function of this ministry si to welcome our new members with open arms into the body of Christ. They are available to help, support and assist in whatever area deemed necessary.
Nursing unit
Members who are medical professionals, volunteer their time to serve the church. They maintain a presence during the services in case of medical emergencies.
Nursing home ministry
This Units primary purpose is to minister the word of God and be encouragement to the sick and shut in.
Pastors Aide
The function of the pastors aide is to serve the needs of the Pastor and assist the Armor Bearer in his duties.
USHER TEAM
The function of the usher’s ministry is to meet greet and seat the parishioners as they enter the sanctuary. This ministrry is an extension of Gods hands to the people. The ministry of ushering is one of servitude and kind disposition as people are met on a person-to-person basis when they arrive at Lighthouse.
WOMEN EMPOWERING WOMEN MINISTRY
Woman-to-women ministry presents an informal setting for women of all ages to come together in hopes of bringing wholeness and balance, It matters to young women who are making the transition to womanhood. This ministry creates an atmosphere for them to recieve help through workshop classes, seminars and prayer. YWCC and CWC is included in this ministry.
WOMEN EVANGELIST MINISTRY
The Women Evangelist ministry is made up of missionaries (Licensed or aspiring) who minister to people that are hospitalized, in the nursing homes or restricted to their homes. The women evangelists are encouraged to complete a one year training course.
YOUTH DEPARTMENT
The youth department is designed to create different types of ministries for the youth ages 1-18. Its purpose is to direct our youth and instill principles of Godly living. The youth department is also responsible for youth events throughout the year such as: summits , youth revivals and other events.

5th Sunday is “Women’s Day.” (the Ladies are asked to wear white or white/black.) On this day, the women are in charge of the service; this is the time to be a blessing to our First lady.
- 1st Sunday in March is our “Annual Women’s Day”.
- The Month of May is our Woman to Woman ministry.
- The conference prayer Line is at 5am “Monday thru Friday”.
- The district meetings are the last week in “February -August”.
- Our church Anniversary is in “May”.
- Our Pastor & Wife Anniversary in “October”.
