WHAT TO EXPECT
At lighthouse you will be welcomed with the Love of Jesus and provided with a place where you are welcome and wanted.
HOW WE WORSHIP
At the lighthouse church, we worship the Lord. We worship him seriously, joyfully and enthusiastically.
During our services, worship takes many forms. Sometimes its structured and at other times, its spontaneous. Sometimes its loud and at other times its very quiet. Sometimes our faces show an explosive celebrations of praise and at other times, anthems.
Scripture is ouor source and pattern and principle. Ministry to God and to one another is our goal. Decency and order are constant watch words.
Hopefully this will help you understand what is happening in our worship and provide you with biblical information.
We invite you to worship with us.
WHY DO WE SING
After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. (Revelation 7:9-10)
WHY DO WE CLAP OUR HANDS
O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph. (Psalms 47:1)
WHY DO WE LIFT OUR HANDS
(1 Timothy 2:8)
WHY ARE MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS PART OF OUR WORSHIP
Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.
Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.(Psalms 150:3-5)
WHY DO WE HAVE AUDIBLE PRAISE UNTO GOD?
And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. 6And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.(Revelation 19:1,5,6)
WHY DO WE HAVE THIS TYPE OF WORSHIP
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
(John 4:23-24)
WHY DO WE PRAY FOR THE SICK AND ANOTHER
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
